COLUMBUS, Ohio – Three Buckeyes qualified for the NCAA Individual Championships as a result of their play at the 2025 ITA Central Sectional Championships in Ann Arbor, Michigan, this week.

The 2025 ITA Sectional Championships had a draw size of the following, (Singles: 32) (Doubles: 16). From this, six singles players from each section (24) qualified for the NCAA Singles Championship (semifinalists, two quarterfinal playoff winners). Meanwhile, three doubles teams from each section (12) qualified for the NCAA Doubles Championship through the Sectional Championships (champion, finalist, third place). The NCAA Individual Championships are scheduled for Nov. 18-23 in Orlando, Florida.

In singles at the ITA Sectional, Ohio State's Jack Anthrop earned a trip to the NCAA tournament by making it to the semifinals with a win in the quarterfinals over Alexander Frusina of Texas A&M, 6-2, 6-3.

In doubles, the Buckeye tandem of Nikita Filin and Brandon Carpico won their semifinal match against TCU's Cosme Rolland De Ravel and Albert Pedrico Kravtsov, 7-5, 6-2. That win earned Filin and Carpico a trip to the NCAA doubles championships.

With bids in hand, neither the sectional singles semifinals nor the finals in doubles were contested.

This fall, Ohio State has now qualified Anthrop, Aidan Kim and Preston Stearns for the NCAA singles championships. Filin and Carpico join Kim and Bryce Nakashima as NCAA doubles qualifiers.
