COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 3 Ohio State women's hockey team returns to action with a series against Minnesota State this weekend at the OSU Ice Rink. Puck drop for the games between the Buckeyes (9-1-0, 7-1-1 WCHA) and Mavericks (6-5-1, 2-5-1 WCHA) is set for 6 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday from the OSU Ice Rink.

Ohio State starts its two-week road stretch with a trip to No. 5 Minnesota Duluth Nov. 21-22. The Buckeyes and Bulldogs will play game one at 7 p.m. and game two at 4 p.m. from AMSOIL Arena in Duluth, Minn. The games will be streamed on B1G+ (subscription required).

- With the home football game Saturday vs. UCLA, a limited number of parking spaces will be held in the Lane Avenue Garage for women's hockey fans. For other parking accommodations, fans can park in football day of game lots. More information: Ohio Stadium Traffic and Parking
- Fans who show a football ticket at the St. John Arena box office on Saturday can get a discounted ticket for the women's hockey game.
- Friday is the Our Honor Defend Military Appreciation game. The first 200 fans will receive an Our Honor Defend t-shirt and discounted tickets are available for purchase by showing a military ID at the box office.
- Six current Buckeyes competed for their respective national teams during the bye week. Joy Dunne and Emma Peschel helped Team USA win the first two games of the 2025 Rivalry Series against Canada. The Lidl Hockey Games, the latest stop of the Women's Euro Hockey Tour, saw Mira Jungåker, Jenna Raunio and Hilda Svensson playing for Sweden and Sanni Vanhanen skating with Finland.
- In the team's last series before the bye, Ohio State went to St. Thomas and earned two wins over the Tommies. The Buckeyes won game one in overtime, 3-2, and took game two, 8-0.
- Svensson, the HCA and WCHA Rookie of the Month honoree, is tied for the most points by a rookie so far this season with 18. She leads the team with 11 assists on the year and averages 1.10 per game for the fourth most in the country.
- Dunne paces the country with 2.13 points and 1.50 goals per game. She has 17 points in eight games played this season and leads the team with 12 goals. The O'Fallon, Mo. native also paces the team with three power play goals, tied for the most in the conference, and eight blocked shots.
- Freshman goaltender Taylor Kressin has started the last three games for the Buckeyes, earning a 3-0-0 record and a shutout in game two against the Tommies. She has a .925 save percentage and 1.83 goals against average in 180 minutes played.
- The Buckeyes are second in the country in scoring offense with 4.90 goals per game. The team scored a season-high nine goals at Colgate (Oct. 4, 9-4) and its largest margin of victory was eight goals against St. Thomas (Nov. 1, 8-0).
- Ohio State's .632 win percentage from the faceoff circle is the best in the nation. Vanhanen has a team-high 117 wins with a .680 win percentage.
- Ohio State is third in the national polls this week behind first-place Wisconsin and second-place Minnesota. The Buckeyes are second in the WCHA standings.
- The Buckeyes are 88-15-9 in the all-time series against the Mavericks with a 48-6-4 on home ice.
- Ohio State has won 17 of the 18 meetings between the teams in the last five seasons.
- The teams closed the 2024-25 regular season series at the OSU Ice Rink with Ohio State sweeping with 5-2 and 4-1 wins.
