Buckeyes Round Out Fall Season at Jim West Challenge

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's golf team closed out its fall schedule at the Jim West Challenge in San Marcos, Texas, finishing 10th in a competitive field after an even-par final round on Monday.
Junior Nellie Ong led the Buckeyes for the duration of the tournament, securing a tie for fifth place individually. Ong matched her second-round score with another impressive 68 (-4) in the final round, highlighted by six birdies — including three consecutive on the back nine. She finished the 54-hole event at 73-68-68 (-7), marking her second top-10 finish of the season. For Ong, the 7-under par finish was the lowest in relation to par in her career.
Marina Joyce-Moreno closed her week carding a 71 (-1) in the final round to finish with scores of 77-85-71. Kary Hollenbaugh turned in rounds of 74-72-79, while Sophie Eppelstun posted 72-76-77. Matilde Santilli rounded out the Buckeye lineup, recording her best performance of the tournament with an even-par 72 following rounds of 79-80.
The Jim West Challenge marks the conclusion of Ohio State's fall slate. The Buckeyes will return to action when spring play begins in early 2026.
