COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State (5-4,2-1) faces Wisconsin (2-5, 0-3) Friday in Ohio State's second-consecutive Big Ten conference matchup at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. with BIG+ providing the live stream.
For Demian, he can't give enough appreciation to the staff that not only saved his life but has helped him return to doing the things he loves.
"I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for them, like I wouldn't be alive," Demian said. "And then when they were able to keep me alive, my future wouldn't be anywhere near what it is without them."
Demian connected with the same nurses, doctors and specialists during his multiple visits to the hospital and became close with them. They were always there for him each step of the way and at the perfect time, he said.
"I don't think they understand how much they truly impacted my life and the rest of my life," Demian said. "I can't thank them enough."
- Last time out, the Buckeyes defeated the UCLA Bruins (2-1) after Ashton Bilow's first goal of the season came from outside the box in the 63'. Ohio State played a man down after Nick McHenry was given a red card in the 7'.
- Keeper Max Trejo improved to 5-3 on the season, he faced a season-high 19 shots and tied his career-high of five saves.
- Marko Borkovic netted his fifth goal of the season on a penalty kick. He is ranked third for goals and first in shots on target in the Big Ten.
- The Buckeyes broke a nine-game Badger win streak over Ohio State last year with a 3-2 win in Madison. Tanner Creech scored the game-winning goal in the 80'.
- Wisconsin is coming off a four-game slide with three-consecutive losses coming against conference opponents. The Badgers have been outscored 9-2 in the span.
- After the match Friday against Wisconsin, the Buckeyes will face off against two USC Top 25 ranked teams, No. 12 Indiana (Oct. 10 away) and at home vs. No. 11 Michigan (Oct. 14).
