
Dingler, Canzone to Face Off in ALDS

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State baseball alumni Dillon Dingler and Dominic Canzone will face each other in the MLB Postseason as Dingler and the Detroit Tigers and Canzone and the Seattle Mariners square off in the ALDS.
The Tigers defeated the Cleveland Guardians, 2-1, in a three-game wild card series to advance to the ALDS for the second straight season. In game three on Thursday, Dingler hit the go-ahead home run. During the regular season, Dingler batted .278 with 121 hits, 13 home runs, 54 runs scored and 57 RBIs.
The Mariners clinched their spot in the ALDS as the AL West champions. Canzone batted .300 during the regular season with 73 hits, 11 home runs, 30 runs scored and 32 RBIs.
Gane one of the ALDS is on Saturday, Oct. 4 in Seattle, with game two to follow at T-Mobile Park on Sunday, Oct. 5. Game three will be played on Tuesday, Oct. 7 in Detroit. If necessary, game four is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 8 at Comerica Park and game five would be played on Friday, Oct. 10 in Seattle.
