Briefly on the Buckeyes

- The Buckeye offense was led by Makenna Webster over the weekend, who totaled 10 points on four goals and two assists — the most by any player in the country. She was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week and NFHCA Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.
- Goalkeeper Abby Danson also earned her share of honors this week: her .818 save percentage and only two goals allowed in 116 minutes earned her both Big Ten and NFHCA Defensive Player of the Week.
- Five other Buckeyes saw goal-scoring action in last weekend's contests: sophomores Brenna Bough, Reagan Eickhoff and Cam Standish and juniors Zella Bailey and Lindsey Roberts.
- Ohio State is ranked no. 14 in the latest National Field Hockey Coaches Association poll and is one of six Big Ten teams in the top 20.

Scouting Syracuse
- This is the 10th meeting between the Orange and the Buckeyes and the first since 2014, a game won by the Orange in overtime, 3-2.
