COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 1/2 Ohio State women's hockey team fell, 4-3, to No. 7 Minnesota Duluth Sunday afternoon at the OSU Ice Rink. The Buckeyes (0-2-0, 0-2-0 WCHA) led after the second period, but a two-goal final frame put the Bulldogs (2-0-0, 2-0-0 WCHA) on top.

How it Happened
- Ohio State was the first to score again and this time it was Jocelyn Amos lighting the lamp at 6:04 into the game. The team capitalized on a delayed penalty against Minnesota Duluth, pulling MacLeod for the sixth skater to take the 1-0 lead. Â
- The game was tied at the first intermission after Minnesota Duluth's Clara Van Wieren scored at 14:06.
- The Bulldogs pulled ahead early in the second frame thanks to a power play opportunity at the start of the period. Jenna Lawry scored at 1:50 to give her team the 2-1 lead. Â
- Ohio State's Kiara Zanon appeared to score with 12:46 to play in the second to tie the game, but the goal was challenged by Minnesota Duluth for goaltender interference and was overturned.
- The Buckeyes jumped back in front late in the second period, scoring twice in the final two minutes. Penalties 13 seconds apart had the teams skating 4-on-4 with three minutes to play in the period. Emma Peschel buried a puck from the slot at 18:44 and 11 seconds later, Zanon took the puck herself to score the team's third of the day with 1:03 to play in the period.
- Minnesota Duluth's Caitlin Kraemer scored twice in the third – first at 4:35 and again at 14:33 – to give the Bulldogs the 4-3 win.
- Amos, Joy Dunne, Peschel, Sara Swiderski, Maddi Wheeler and Zanon each recorded their first points of the season in the game. Swiderski and Wheeler's assists were their first points in a Buckeye sweater.
- With assists in Sunday's game, Buglioni and Petrie tallied points in both games this weekend. Peschel is the first Buckeye to record a multipoint game this season with a goal and an assist on the day.
- Hailey MacLeod earned her first start as a Buckeye on Sunday. She made 26 saves on the day.
