COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State baseball team (24-22, 8-10 Big Ten) hosts Northwestern (15-30, 2-16 Big Ten) this Friday through Sunday for its final home series of the regular season.

Prior to Friday's game, the Buckeyes will honor the late Kyle Brown. Brown, an Ohio State pitcher who helped lead the Buckeyes to a Big Ten Championship in 2001 and an NCAA Regional Championship in 2003, unexpectedly passed away last year at the age of 42. After graduating from Ohio State, Brown worked at ESPN for 16 years and was a two-time Sports Emmy Award winner. He left behind wife, Megan, and children Makayla, Carson, Camden and Madyn. To honor Brown's kindness, generosity and passion for supporting the youth of the community and beyond, his family created the Kyle M. Brown Memorial Foundation in his honor. The Buckeyes have planted a tree and plaque in honor of Kyle at Bill Davis Stadium and a short ceremony will be held at 5:15 p.m. to dedicate those. Brown's family will throw out the ceremonial first pitches on Friday.
On Saturday, the 1999 team will be back in Columbus and will be honored on the field prior to the start of the game. The '99 squad went 50-14 overall and had a 25-3 Big Ten record. Justin Fry was named the Big Ten Pitcher of the Year and Fry, Chad Ehrnsberger, Mike Lockwood, Tom Durant and E.J. Laratta all earned First Team All-Big Ten honors. Laratta was also the Big Ten Freshman of the Year and Bob Todd was named the Big Ten Coach of the Year. The team was chosen to host the first-ever NCAA Regional in Columbus and hosted the only Super Regional in program history.

On Sunday, Ohio State's nine graduating seniors will be honored. At 12:05 p.m., the graduates will add their names to the Letterman Wall.
