COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's golf team concluded its 2023-24 season on Wednesday after placing sixth at the NCAA Bryan Regional.
The Buckeyes carded a 54-hole team score of 875 (+11). Ohio State shot 292 (+4) in round three. Ohio State finished just five strokes back from the fifth-place Texas A&M. Ohio State shot fourth-best among the 12-team field on par 5s, finishing two-under with a stroke average of 4.97 on those holes. The Buckeyes totaled 166 pars and 38 birdies.
Faith Choi led the Buckeyes, finishing tied for ninth place. She carded a one-under 71 on Wednesday for a three-round score of 215 (-1). Choi shot under par in two of three rounds. Choi shot even par on 39 holes, which was the most among the Buckeyes. She birdied eight holes.
Kary Hollenbaugh tied for 13th place with a 54-hole total score of 218 (+2). She shot 76 (+4) in the final round. Hollenbaugh led Ohio State in birdies with 11. She shot par on 31 holes.
Jillian Bourdage and Caley McGinty each finished tied for 44th place with an overall score of 227 (+11). Bourdage carded a 76 (+4) and McGinty shot 77 (+5) in round three. Bourdage had one eagle on Wednesday, her team-best third of the season. Bourdage shot even par on 36 holes and birdied three. McGinty recorded 30 pars and seven birdies.
Kailie Vongsaga, who entered the lineup for the Buckeyes as a sub on Tuesday, fired a 69 (-3) in the final round of play. She played two rounds and was minus-two. She had 22 pars and eight birdies.
