COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track & field team travels to Lexington, Ky. for the 2024 NCAA East First Round. The meet will take place Wednesday through Saturday and streamed live on ESPN+.

Braxton Brann will start things off for the Buckeye men with the 110m hurdles on Wednesday at 6 p.m. On Thursday, Lacey Stringer is the first among the Buckeye women to compete, beginning the hammer throw at 10 a.m. Carlos Aviles and Tanner Watson will start the Buckeyes' action on Friday in the discus at 1 p.m. On Saturday, Faith Bender is the first Buckeye scheduled to compete, slated to start the discus at 1 p.m.

- The Buckeye women finished third with 115 points and the Buckeye men finished 10th with 49 points at the 2024 Big Ten Championships.
- Ohio State captured four individual event titles. Hayden Tobias won the men's shot put on his final throw by hitting 20 meters for the first time this season (20.00m / 65'7.5").
- On the women's side, the sprinters earned all three titles. The women's 4x100 relay squad (Fatouma Conde, Nya Bussey, Columba Effiong, Leah Bertrand) secured the Big Ten Championship for the fifth year in a row with a season-best time of 43.44 to rank fifth in program history. Bertrand defended her Big Ten outdoor 100m title by running a season-best 11.16. Conde claimed the Big Ten 200m championship with a PR (22.91) that ranks fifth in program history.
