COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track & field team began competition at the 2024 NCAA East First Round on Wednesday, hosted by the University of Kentucky. Today was the first day of men's competition.
RESULTS
- Shot put: Hayden Tobias used a best throw of 19.14m / 62'9.5" to finish eighth and punch his ticket to the NCAA Championships. Adam Riedinger finished 0.01m shy of his career high with a best mark of 18.06m / 59'3", while Carlos Aviles' best showing of the day was 17.59m / 57'8.5".
- 110m hurdles: Braxton Brann used a personal-best time of 13.69 to win his heat and finish eighth overall, qualifying for Friday's quarterfinals.
- 400m: Antonio Hanson moved onto the quarterfinals by finishing third in his heat with a time of 46.52.
