
McGinty Named Big Ten Golfer of the Week

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Caley McGinty was named the Big Ten Golfer of the Week, announced by the conference on Wednesday. This is the third time in her time as a Buckeye that she has earned weekly conference honors.
McGinty had a great weekend at the OSU Scarlet Course, placing first at the Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational. She fired three under-par rounds, shooting two rounds of 71 (-1) and a round of 68 (-4). The 68 was the lowest score of the tournament among the field of 75 players.
McGinty finished the tournament with a 54-hole score of 210 (-6) to claim her seventh collegiate victory. She is the first Buckeye to win the Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational, formerly the Lady Buckeye, since Rachel Rohanna in 2012.
McGinty also helped the Buckeyes to the team title; they carded a 54-hole score of 857 (-7).
Ohio State is back in action at the Big Ten Championships this Friday-Sunday.
