Buckeyes Host Rutgers on Senior Night Thursday

Eight Ohio State seniors will be recognized pregame

- The Ohio State women's lacrosse will close its regular season home and B1G schedule Thursday evening when it hosts Rutgers.
- The Buckeyes and Scarlet Knights will meet at 6 p.m. in Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. The game will be streamed on B1G+ and live statistics can be linked from OhioStateBuckeyes.com.
- Admission and parking are free for all regular season home games in Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium.
- The eight members of the Buckeye senior class - Regan Alexander, Riley Alexander, Sarah Klein, Sarah Johnson, Jamie Lasda, Erin O'Neil, Kiana Perez and Leah Sax - will be recognized pregame.
- Ohio State enters the game 7-7 (1-4 B1G) after a loss at No. 1 Northwestern Saturday. Rutgers is 6-8 overall (0-5 B1G) and dropped  a game at Stony Brook April 9 in its last time out.Â
- The Buckeyes trail the series with Rutgers, 5-9 overall and 4-7 since the start of B1G play.
- This is the third year in a row the teams are meeting to close their B1G schedules.Â
- The last meeting between the teams was in Piscataway, N.J., April 20, 2023, when Rutgers won in overtime, 13-12. The last game in Columbus was a 10-8 RU win April 28, 2022 in Ohio Stadium.Â
- Rutgers' last Big Ten game was a 13-12 overtime loss at Johns Hopkins April 6, followed by a nonconference 13-10 loss at Stony Brook April 9. The Scarlet Knights average 11.93 goals a game and allow 11.29 a contest.Â
- Individually, Cassidy Spilis is fifth in the NCAA in goals per game (4.21) and third in goals with 59.
- All 39 Buckeyes on this year's roster were recognized as Ohio State Scholar-Athletes this week at the annual Ohio State Scholar-Athlete Dinner.
- To earn Scholar-Athlete accolades, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or better.
- Senior goalie Regan Alexander was one of five women's finalists for the Big Ten Medal of Honor, presented each year to the top male and female senior student-athletes on each B1G campus.
- Kiana Perez was a recipient of the Woody and Anne Hayes Award, which provides financial assistance for postgraduate studies to student-athletes who have demonstrated academic achievement and leadership qualities. Â

- The Buckeyes were on the road their last three games (all in a span of 10 days), with nonconference contests at Cincinnati and Louisville before a B1G game at Northwestern.
- In their last time out, the Buckeyes lost at Northwestern, 19-10, Saturday. Ohio State trailed 8-2 after the first  quarter but outscored the Wildcats 7-5 in quarters two and three combined for a 13-9 game entering the final stanza. A five-goal run for Northwestern to open the fourth quarter allowed the Wildcats to pull away.
- The Buckeyes have faced five opponents who were ranked in the Top 10 at the time of the game so far this year. The current ILWomen/IWLCA rankings of those teams: No. 1 Northwestern, No. 4 Michigan, No. 8 Maryland, No. 11 Johns Hopkins and No. 12 Denver. Ohio State also has a win over current No. 19 Penn State. Â
- Ohio State is 5-1 at home this season, with its lone loss to Maryland.
- The Buckeyes are scoring 12.21 goals a game while allowing 11.64 a contest. The squad is averaging 26.71 shots on goal a game and has a .457 shooting percentage. Â
- Senior goalie Regan Alexander, who has double-digit saves in seven of the last 10 games, is 18th in the NCAA in saves (125), 23rd in saves per game (8.93) and 29th in save percentage (.463).
- Alexander has 428 saves in her 49-game Buckeye career (with 46 starts), ranking fifth in school history.Â
- Senior Jamie Lasda scored twice at Northwestern, hitting the 100 (and 101) goal mark and recording the 150th point of her Buckeye career.Â
- Lasda leads the Buckeyes with a career-best 37 goals and has a team-best 43 points, her third straight 40-plus point season. She ranks ninth in the Big Ten in goals per game (2.64). This season Lasda has multiple points in all but three games, including 10 multi-goal outings.Â
- Lasda enters the game vs. Rutgers on a 20-game scoring streak, with 48 goals, 18 assists and 66 points in the stretch. It is Lasda's career-long point streak, passing the two 13-game stretches she had earlier in her career.
- Lasda has 30 draw controls in the last four games combined and is first on the team with a career-best 51. She has 95 career draw controls, six back of tying for 10th in program history. Â
- Freshman Kate Tyack had a career-best four assists and five points at Northwestern. She entered the game with three assists in her first 13 games combined. Tyack has multiple points in each of her last four games, with nine goals and 15 points in the four games combined. She enters the game vs. Rutgers on six-game goal and point streaks and has 17 goals, seven assists and 24 points this season.Â
- Junior Brynn Ammerman is first for the Buckeyes with 23 assists and ranks second with 40 points, tying for fourth with 17 goals, and has been held scoreless just once this season (at Louisville). Ammerman is fourth in the B1G with 1.64 assists per game after picking up three helpers at Northwestern, her seventh game this year with two or more. She entered the season with a 5-4-9 line in 14 games played over her first two years.
- Senior Leah Sax is second on the squad in goals (22), with two or more in eight of 14 games (including last week at Northwestern), and has been held scoreless just twice. She also has six assists, with three multi-assist days. The senior started the year with one goal and three games played in her first three seasons.Â
- Sophomore Zoe Coleman has at least one point in 12 of 14 games this year and has a career-high 15 goals, 13 assists and 28 points. She has nine multiple-point outings this season, including two goals in each of the last two games and two points in each of the last three.
- Junior Annie Hargraves has at least one goal and point in 11 of 14 games this year. Hargraves, who had 13 goals in 2023 in her first season of game action, has 18 goals this season and is second on the team with a career-best 43 draw controls. She has 19 draw controls in the last four games combined and five games with five or more overall. Â
- Emily Magalotti, who moved to midfield this season after playing defense in 2023, notched her first collegiate goal at Denver Feb. 23 and then scored twice vs. Butler the following game. She posted two goals at Northwestern last Saturday and now has nine on the year.
- Senior Erin O'Neil, who has started all 14 games on defense, has 15 ground balls and nine caused turnovers on the year. She had six loose balls and five caused turnovers while playing 22 games (with four starts) her first three seasons combined. Her classmate Sarah Johnson has started all 12 games she has played this year on defense, with six ground balls and five caused turnovers. She played in all 33 games the last two years, with 22 starts.
- Rookie Audrey Schoemer started the first 14 games on defense and has 10 ground balls and seven caused turnovers.Â
- Alexander leads the Buckeyes with 35 ground balls this year and now has 113 in her Buckeye career (10 back of 10th all-time). She picked up a season-high seven at Northwestern. Alexander also has a team-best 16 caused turnovers.Â
- Freshman Kampbell Stone had her first career hat trick against Louisville last week, marking her third career multiple-goal outing. The three points marked a season high and she now has 14 goals and 15 points this season. Stone has at least one goal in 10 of her first 14 collegiate games.
- The Buckeyes will wrap up the regular season with a nonconference game at Temple at noon Sunday. The game will be streamed through ESPN+ and live statistics can be linked from OhioStateBuckeyes.com.
- Ohio State will travel for a Big Ten Tournament quarterfinal game April 27. Northwestern will host the semifinals and final May 2 and 4, respectively, in Evanston, Ill.Â
