Sax scored four goals, while Alexander made 12 saves for the Buckeyes
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's lacrosse team fell to Rutgers, 13-11, Thursday evening in Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium to close out the regular season home schedule.

The Buckeyes (7-8, 1-5 B1G) and Scarlet Knights (7-8, 1-5 B1G) were tied at one after the first quarter. A three-goal run by the Buckeyes to open the second quarter helped Ohio State to a 7-4 halftime lead. In the third, Rutgers tallied three of the first four goals to draw within one (8-7) at 9:18. Ohio State notched the next two scores for a three-goal lead at 13:00 of the fourth quarter, but Rutgers went on a run of its own, tying the game with 11:18 remaining and moving ahead at 6:30 en route to the 13-11 final.

Senior Leah Sax led the Buckeyes with a career-high tying four goals, while Annie Hargraves, Jamie Lasda and Kate Tyack each scored twice. The Buckeyes had 18 draw controls in the contest, led by Hargraves with seven and Lasda with six. Regan Alexander made 12 saves in the Buckeye cage.

- The quarter opened with a three-goal Buckeye run, with all three goals in a 1:10 span. Brynn Ammerman set up Leah Sax at 13:34 and then scored a player-up free position goal of her own at 12:59. Kate Tyack followed with an unassisted goal at 12:24.

- Rutgers notched three of the first four goals in the third quarter for a one-goal game for the first time since early in the second quarter. The teams traded goals, with an RU tally at 13:44 and Annie Hargraves score for the Buckeyes at 12:19.
- Back-to-back goals from the Scarlet Knights at 10:48 and 9:18 made it an 8-7 contest.
- Lasda put the Buckeyes back ahead by two, scoring unassisted at 3:44 for a 9-7 Ohio State advantage.
- Sax completed her hat trick two minutes into the fourth quarter on a free position shot.
- A six-goal run from Rutgers allowed the Scarlet Knights to tie the game and take the lead. The stretch started with three goals in just over a minute to deadlock the score at 10 with 11:18 remaining.
- Cassidy Spilis broke the tie at 6:30 and Rutgers added three more for a 13-10 lead with 2:17 left in the fourth.
- A player-up goal from Sax at 1:37 left cut the RU deficit to two, but Ohio State was unable to draw closer. Ohio State had 10 shots in the fourth quarter, including two that hit the pipe/crossbar and four that were saved by the RU goalie.
- Regan Alexander made 12 saves for the Buckeyes, who outshot Rutgers 34-33. The Scarlet Knights' goalie also had 12 stops.
- Ohio State led the game in draw controls, 18-10, while Rutgers was ahead in ground balls, 17-10.
- Hargraves had seven draw controls for the Buckeyes, Lasda had six and Emily Magalotti had four. Alexander had a team-best three ground balls.
- Lasda has 36 draw controls in the last five games combined and is first on the team with a career-best 57 this year, ranking seventh in a single season in school history. She moved into a tie for 10th place in program history with 101 career draw controls.
- Lasda leads the Buckeyes with 39 goals and 45 points and moved her career-long scoring streak to 21 games, with 50 goals, 18 assists and 68 points in the stretch. In her career, Lasda has 103 goals, 49 assists and 152 points in 58 games.
- Sax is second on the team with 26 goals and ranks third with 32 points, with at least one point in 13 of 15 outings. It was her second four-goal game of the year, matching her total against Marquette March 12. She has nine multiple-goal outings this season.
- Hargraves now has 50 draw controls on the year, tying for 11th in a single season. It was her sixth game with five or more. She has at least one goal in all but three games and has 20 goals and 21 points this year.
- Tyack is on seven-game goal and point streaks, with multiple points in each game. On the year, she has 19 goals and seven assists for 26 points.
- Alexander has double-digit saves in eight of the last 11 games and has 440 stops in her 50-game Buckeye career, ranking fifth in school history (eight saves back of fourth).
- Ammerman leads the Buckeyes with 24 assists and is second with 42 points. She has multiple points in nine games on the year and a point in all but one game.
- Coleman is on a four-game point streak and now has 29 points on the year, ranking second with 14 assists.
