Buckeyes and Badgers meet Friday-Sunday at Goodman Diamond
COLUMBUS, Ohio – It's back to Big Ten play this weekend as Ohio State plays its third road series in the last four weeks when it heads to Madison, Wisc. for a three-game series at Wisconsin.
Action gets underway on Friday evening and continues Saturday and Sunday afternoons, respectively.

More About the Matchup
The Buckeyes and Badgers haven't played since the 2021 Big Ten-only season when they met three times in Leesburg, Fla. Prior to that, 2018 was the last time that the two teams faced each other in the regular season. Wisconsin holds a 25-26-1 edge in the all-time series. The last time Ohio State and Wisconsin played in Madison was in 2016.

- Ohio State is 20-15 on the season following an 8-0 five-inning win over Ohio on Wednesday night in Columbus.
- Hannah Church's grand slam in the fifth inning ended the game and backed up a solid pitching outing from senior Allison Smith, who struck out seven and allowed just three hits to win her 12th game of the season.
- Fifth-year senior Tegan Cortelletti leads the team with a .449 batting average and is among the Big Ten leaders in both average and total hits (44). She has reached base in 30 of the last 32 games.
- The Buckeyes have one of the best power-hittinf teams in the conference with four players who have six or more home runs: Kami Kortokrax (eight), Jasmyn Burns (seven), Sam Hackenbracht (six) and Kirsten Eppele (six).
- The two hottest bats over the last 10 games have belonged to Taylor Heckman (.520) and Hackenbracht (.421). They have combined for 21 hits, five home runs and 19 RBI.
- Ohio State's five-person pitching staff has seen each member pitch 19.0 or more innings so far. Smith is the statistical leader of the group, having logged 100.0 innings thus far with 85 strikeouts, a 12-8 record and .251 batting average against.

- Allison Smith needs just four more strikeouts to move in fifth place on the program's all-time list. She'll pass Shelby Hursh, who had 495 Ks from 2014-17. Ohio State's all-time strikeouts leader is Jamee Juarez, who fanned 747 from 2004-07.
- Among the Buckeyes' 43 home runs this season are five grand slams, including a walk-off one on Wedneday night. Those grand slams have come from four different players: Kirsten Eppele, Jasmyn Burns, Kami Kortokrax and Hannah Church.
- When this weekend concludes, Ohio State will have played 33 of its first 38 games away from home. Beginnng on Tuesday, however, Ohio State begins a nine-game homestand with a doubleheader versus Penn State.
- The Buckeyes' offense has averaged 6.2 runs per game in the last 10 games and three times has scored eight or more times. Four players are hitting .380 or better in that span: Heckman (.520), Hackenbracht (.421), Cortelletti (.393) and Kortokrax (.387).
