- The Buckeyes went 2-0 at the inaugural Las Vegas College Baseball Classic, picking up a 9-4 win over Cal and a 4-3 come-from-behind victory against Oklahoma.
- Landon Beidelschies (2-1) earned the win versus the Bears, fanning a career-high eight batters in 6.0 innings pitched. He allowed two runs on four hits.
- Matthew Graveline led the Buckeyes at the dish with two hits.
- Trey Lipsey batted in a team-high three runs and Graveline and Josh Stevenson each batted in two.
- After being down by one, 3-2, against the Sooners in the top of the ninth inning, the Buckeyes came back to win, 4-3, after Tyler Pettorini reached base on a bases-loaded error to score CJ Richard and Mitchell Okuley was walked with bases loaded to send Nick Giamarusti home.
