Six Buckeye Divers Headed to NCAA Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio – A total of six Ohio State divers will be competing at NCAA Championships after qualifying at NCAA Zone diving this week.
On the final day of Zone diving on Saturday, both the men and women competed on platform.
Janie Boyle finished sixth in the platform finals with a total score of 583.40. In addition to the platform, Boyle will compete on the 1-meter and 3-meter boards at the NCAA Championships.
A seventh-place finish on platform for Ciara McGing punched her ticket to the postseason. She turned in an aggregate score of 559.70.
Lena Hentschel also qualified to compete on the platform with a score of 485.80. She finished 12th overall. The reigning Big Ten 1-meter champion will also take on the 1-meter springboard at NCAAs.
Clayton Chaplin turned in a score of 689.95 on the platform to secure his spot in the competition at NCAAs. He will also compete on the 1-meter and the 3-meter.
Mo Noaman locked up his spot in the postseason, placing eighth on the platform with an overall score of 645.90. Noaman also qualified on the 3-meter.
Lyle Yost also qualified to compete on the platform at NCAAs; he finished in ninth place with a score of 643.75. Yost, the reigning national champion on the 1-meter board, will also dive on the 1-meter and the 3-meter.
The women's NCAA Championships will be held March 20-23 in Athens, Ga. The men's NCAA Championships will be held in Indianapolis, Ind. March 27-30.
