Nikanorov Earns First Team All-American Honors in 1650 Free

COLUMBUS, Ohio – For the second straight season, Ohio State's Mila Nikanorov earned First Team All-American honors in the 1650 free at the NCAA Championships.
Day one of the NCAA Championships opened with the 1650 free. Nikanorov placed fifth with a time of 15:46.48 to earn First Team All-American honors.
Emma Finlin placed ninth in the 1650 free, touching at 15:55.22 to earn Honorable Mention All-American recognition.
At her first NCAA Championships, freshman Adair Shaw placed 36th in the 1650 free with a time of 16:31.01.
The Buckeyes earned Honorable Mention All-American honors in both the 200 medley relay and the 800 free relay.
In the 200 medley relay, the team of KK LeBlanc, Maria Ramos, Carrie Furbee and Rachel Bockrath placed 13th with a time of 1:35.54.
In the 800 free relay, the team of Erin Little, Sienna Angove, Bockrath and Delia Lloyd finished 13th with a time of 7:00.77.
After the first day of competition, the No. 11 Buckeyes are in ninth place with 39 points.
The NCAA Championships continue March 19-21. Prelims will begin at 10 a.m. each day, and finals will begin at 6 p.m. All sessions will stream live on ESPN+.
