Buckeyes Post 17-9 Win at Youngstown State

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's lacrosse team posted a 17-9 win over Youngstown State in its first road game of the season Friday afternoon. The Buckeyes scored the game's first eight goals, including six in the first quarter, en route to the win. The game was the first between the Buckeyes, who are now 3-0, and Penguins (0-2).
Against Youngstown State, Brynn Ammerman had a team-best three assists and four points for Ohio State. Jamie Lasda, Leah Sax, Kampbell Stone and Kate Tyack each scored twice. Brooke Vinson had a three-point game with a goal and two assists and Casey Roberts also had two helpers. Gracie Shoup had a goal and an assist in the win.

- There were just three goals scored in the third quarter. Youngstown State scored the first two and Sophie Patton tallied her first as a Buckeye. Ohio State led 13-3 through 45 minutes.

- Gracie Shoup set up Vinson for a goal at 5:56, marking Shoup's first collegiate point.

- Vinson picked up two assists for three points, her first as a Buckeye, and Shoup had an assist for a two-point day and her first collegiate points.
- Freshman Kate Tyack had her first career two-goal game and has a goal in each of her first three collegiate contests.
- Freshman Kampbell Stone marked her second straight two-goal outing and has a goal in three straight games.
- Sophomore Casey Roberts matched her career best with two assists, her fourth career two-assist outing.
- Whitney Robinson made a career-high five saves in the cage.
- With two goals, Jamie Lasda moved her scoring streak to nine. She has 22 goals, 12 assists and 34 points in the stretch. Lasda has 75 goals, 43 assists and 118 points in her 45-game Buckeye career. She leads the Buckeyes with 11 goals this year.
