COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's volleyball team (7-7, 0-4 B1G) lost to Indiana (9-5, 2-2 B1G) in four sets (15-25, 23-25, 25-23, 22-25) on Sunday afternoon on the road in an Alzheimer's Awareness match.
Indiana controlled the first set early and won the set by a 25-15 margin. Ohio State led the majority of the second set but the Hoosiers used a late 5-0 run to earn a 25-23 set win. The third set was tight throughout with 13 ties before the Buckeyes extended the match with a 25-23 set win on back-to-back kills. Indiana scored the final three points of the match to win 25-22 after a back-and-forth fourth set.
Emily Londot earned her eighth double-double of the season with 23 kills and a season-high 15 digs. Olivia Hasbrook totaled at least 10 digs for the 13th time this season, finishing with 13 digs. Emmi Sellman recorded a career-high nine kills and Reese Wuebker totaled her career-high 12 digs.
How it Happened
Indiana scored the first two points of the match before Ohio State tied the set at two. The Buckeyes called timeout trailing 11-5 after three-straight Hoosiers points. Indiana used a 5-0 run to extend its lead to 16-6 and forced a second Ohio State timeout as the Buckeyes trailed 20-9. The Buckeyes scored the next five of six points out of the timeout but Indiana won the set by a 25-15 margin.
The Hoosiers opened scoring in the second set but the Buckeyes used a 4-0 run to take a 5-2 lead. Indiana battled back to tie the set at points seven through 10 before a 3-0 OSU run forced an IU timeout. Ohio State maintained a three-point advantage at 17-14 before a successful Indiana challenge. The Buckeyes held a 19-15 lead after a block from Reese Wuebker and Rylee Rader, prompting a second Hoosiers timeout. Ohio State called timeout after a 4-0 Indiana run gave the Hoosiers a 23-22 lead, their first lead since 2-1. Indiana won the set by a 25-23 margin.
Londot recorded her ninth kill of the match to open the third set. Each team put together a pair of three-consecutive points early and the score was knotted at eight. After being tied at 10, Indiana scored the next three points to prompt an Ohio State timeout. The Buckeyes tied the set for the seventh time at 15 points apiece on Londot's 14th kill. After back-to-back OSU points, IU scored the next three to take a 19-17 lead. Jen Flynn Oldenburg won a challenge to tie the set at 21 and the Buckeyes took a 23-22 lead on a block from Reese Wuebker and Rader. Kills from Londot and Wuebker capped a 25-23 set win.

The Hoosiers extended their lead to 13-9 but the Buckeyes tied the set at 14 after three-unanswered points. The set was tied at 14 through 22 as the teams traded points and the lead. Indiana scored the final three points of the match amidst an unsuccessful OSU challenge to win the set 25-22.
