COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's volleyball team (7-7, 0-4 B1G) travels to Northwestern (3-9, 1-3 B1G) on Thursday night for an 8 p.m. ET match broadcast on B1G+.
- Ohio State fell in four sets (15-25, 23-25, 25-23, 22-25) at Indiana on Sunday, despite outhitting the Hoosiers .248-.205.
- Against Indiana, Emily Londot led all players with 23 kills and registered her eighth double-double of the season with a season-high 15 digs to lead OSU.
- Kamiah Gibson was good for 40 assists in her season debut, while Abby Yoder made her collegiate debut.
- Reese Wuebker tallied a career-high 12 digs and matched her career-high seven kills, while Emmi Sellman recorded a career-high nine kills.
- Northwestern enters the match with a 3-9 overall record and 1-3 Big Ten record after losing in four sets to both No. 10 Purdue and Illinois last weekend.
- The Wildcats beat Maryland in their B1G opener and
- fell to then No. 7 Wisconsin. In NU's non-conference slate, it captured a pair of wins against Northern Illinois and lost to UNLV, Pacific, Long Beach State (twice) and Notre Dame (twice).
- Buse Hazan leads the Northwestern offense with 2.98 kills/set and 3.60 points/set. Kennedy Hill is averaging a team-high 1.19 blocks/set and Drew Wright leads the back row defense with 2.83 digs/set.
- Ohio State leads 60-19 all-time in the series against Northwestern and is 24-11 against the Wildcats in Evanston.
- The last meeting in Evanston between the two teams took place on Nov. 4, 2022 when the Buckeyes earned a sweep (25-22, 25-12, 25-18).
- Last season, Ohio State won in straight sets (25-13, 25-12, 25-13) inside the Covelli Center on Oct. 25. In that match, the Buckeyes had the .500-.091 advantage in hitting percentage.
