Tournament runs Friday through Sunday in South Bend
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Members of the Ohio State women's tennis team are traveling to South Bend, Ind., for the Notre Dame Invitational. A hidden-dual style event, each day will feature a round of singles and a round of doubles. Ohio State will be joined by the host Irish, Columbia, Michigan, Northwestern, Tulane and Illinois. The Buckeyes are slated to play at 12:30 p.m. Friday, at 10 a.m. Saturday and at noon Sunday.

- In the first ITA rankings of the season, Luciana Perry and Sydni Ratliff were ranked fourth in doubles, the highest doubles ranking for both Buckeyes. They are the fourth Ohio State doubles team to reach the Top 5, joining Miho Kowase and Anna Sanford, Kowase and Francesca Di Lorenzo and Kristy Dascoli and Monica Rincon.
- In singles, Perry is ranked No. 23, with Ratliff No. 50 and Shelly Bereznyak No. 71.
- The Buckeyes opened the year at the Furman Fall Classic Sept. 12-14. Audrey Spencer led the way, winning her flight title and going 5-1 in singles and doubles combined.
- Last time out, five Buckeyes competed in the ITA All-American Championships in Cary, N.C., to close out September. Perry and Ratliff were in the main draw for singles and doubles. Perry reached the consolation Round of 16 and the duo picked up a win in doubles consolation. Teah Chavez and Spencer were in the prequalifying draw. Chavez posted two wins and Spencer won her opening contest. Spencer and Bereznyak paired up in prequalifying doubles and Bereznyak was in the singles qualifying draw, where she notched a consolation win.
- Ohio State will host the ITA Midwest Regional Championships at the Auer Tennis Complex Oct. 10-14. Admission is free to the tournament, which includes a qualifying round on day one, followed by main draw action.
- The UT Home Invitational is up next Oct. 25-27 in Knoxville, Tenn.
- Two individual tournaments, the ITA Central Section Championships and ITA Conference Masters Championships will be held Nov. 7-10.
- The NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships have been moved to the fall and will be contested Nov. 19-24 in Waco, Texas. Players can earn berths into the national championships through the four ITA events in the fall. More information on the pathway to the NCAAs is available HERE.
