
Buckeyes Set Two Meet Records to Wrap Up PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational

Ohio State finished the weekend strong on Saturday at Louisville with a pair of wins and meet records.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track & field team wrapped up the final day of competition at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational in Louisville, Ky. on Saturday.
Hayden Tobias won the men's shot put with a meet record (19.86m / 65'2") and the second-best mark in the country this season. The runner-up was nearly two meters behind Tobias. Kevin Agnew earned the Buckeyes' second meet record of the day by winning the 5000m (14:29.36).
- Shot put: Behind Tobias' win, Carlos Aviles (17.60m / 57'9") and Adam Riedinger (16.77m / 55'0.25") finished fourth and sixth, respectively. Ohio State also had three of the top-10 competitors on the women's side with Lacey Stringer finishing as the runner-up (16.59m / 54'5.25"), Faith Bender in sixth (14.81m / 48'7.25") and Kaylin Howey in 10th (13.52m / 44'4.25").
- Mile: The Buckeye women had two in the top-five as Sydney Paul finished third (4:56.61) and Annie Allen finished fifth (4:59.78). The Buckeye men had two of the top-10 times with Will McGraw finishing seventh (4:11.10) and Sean Carney ninth (4:12.13).
- 60m hurdles: Both Janela Spencer (8.35) and Braxton Brann (7.92) finished third in the finals. Brann was sixth in the prelims (8.04), while Spencer was seventh (8.51).
- Mile elite: The Buckeye women had two of the top-10 times with Aniya Mosley finishing in the runner-up spot (4:43.45) and Gia Napoleon rounding out the top-10 (4:54.88). Nathaniel Tamminga finished eighth (4:13.11) on the men's side.
- 4x400m relay: Both Buckeye men's squads finished in the top-eight. Armani Modeste, Mason Louis, Alex Kenish and Antonio Hanson made up the runner-up squad (3:10.96). Noah Carmichael, Marcus Brown Jr., Eli Hitzhusen and Jaxson Eckert finished seventh (3:16.22). The Buckeye women finished fifth (3:49.99) with a squad of Amelia Figler, Katie Ruffener, Janela Spencer and Lillian Eckels.
- High jump unseeded: Sean Kaminski was the runner-up after clearing 1.95m / 6'4.75" on his first attempt.
- Pole vault unseeded: Daniel Drellishak finished third by clearing 5.02m / 16'5.50" on his second attempt.
- 400m seeded: Hanson finished fourth (47.51).
- High jump elite: Shaun Miller Jr. tied for fourth by clearing 2.10m / 6'10.75" on his second attempt.
- Triple jump: Atinuke Shittu finished seventh with a best mark of 11.94m / 39'2.25".
