COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men's and women's cross country teams closed out the regular season at the Arturo Barrios Invitational in Bryan-College Station, Texas, Friday morning. The women, led by Top 3 finishes from Addie Engel and Daniella Santos, were fourth as a team. Giovanni Copploe and Zubin Jha paced the men, who were eighth overall.

The Buckeye Women
Addie Engel crossed the finish line second, followed by Daniella Santos in third. Akemi Von Scherr notched a Top 20 finish (17th), with Audrey DeSantis and Gia Napoleon rounding out the Buckeye counters as the squad placed fourth.

Engel, Santos, Von Scherr, DeSantis, Olivia Oiler and Zoee Lehman all ran personal bests.

Engel notched her 10th career Top 2 finish (her fourth this season) and has been in the Top 16 in 18 of her last 19 races, with the lone exception when she ran as an individual at the 2021 NCAA Championships.

The men were eighth, led by Giovanni Copploe (21st) and Zubin Jha (27th) who placed in the Top 30. The first four men's finishers, Copploe, Jha, Kevin Agnew and Kaleb Martin, all posted career best times, as did Zach Beneteau, Alex Dediu and Will McGraw.
