Kevin Agnew finishes first for the men
COLUMBUS, Ohio –The Ohio State men's and women's cross country teams competed in the NCAA Great Lakes Regionals in Evansville, Ind., Friday. Aniya Mosley was eighth and Katie Castelli finished 15th to lead the women, while Kevin Agnew was first for the Buckeye men in 32nd. Both teams finished 10th.
Â
Mosley and Castelli garnered All-Great Lakes Region accolades, which are given to the Top 25 finishers. Mosley was also eighth a season ago to earn her first all-region honor. She is one of eight Buckeyes to earn multiple All-Great Lakes Region honors. Ohio State has had at least one women's all-region selection for each of the last six years the honor has been awarded.
Â
Mosley's finish puts her in position to earn a second straight individual berth into the NCAA Championships. The first four finishers at each regional not on an automatic qualifier or at-large team automatically earn a spot, along with two at-large selections. In all, 32 teams and 38 individuals make up the NCAA Championships field. The NCAA field will be announced at 5 p.m. Saturday on NCAA.com.

Quoting head coach Sara Mason Vergote
"I'm so proud of Aniya and Katie. Being All-Region is a huge accomplishment and for Aniya to make her second trip to Nationals is something to be really proud of.
"As a men's team we felt short of our goals this season and it's not up to the standards we set for ourselves."
