Cross Country Slate Announced

Buckeyes begin year Sept. 4 in Dayton
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The 2026 Ohio State men's and women's cross country teams will compete in four regular season events before entering the postseason, head coach Sara Mason Vergote announced.
The squads will kick off the year at the Mike Baumer Cross Country Classic hosted by Wright State in Dayton Sept. 4. The following week, the Buckeyes will head to Michigan State for the Spartan Invite while getting the chance to run the course in East Lansing, site of the 2026 NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships.
The Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh in Bethlehem, Pa., is set for Oct. 2 and the Buckeyes will again return to the Arturo Barrios Invitational hosted by Texas A&M in College Station, Texas, Oct. 16.
The Big Ten Championships will be in Madison, Wis., Oct. 30 and the Spartans will host the NCAA Regionals Nov. 13. Terre Haute, Ind., will be the site of the 2026 NCAA Championships Nov. 21.
