West Virginia Series Schedule Changes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – With the forecast of inclement weather this weekend in West Virginia, the series between Ohio State and West Virginia has been adjusted. The teams will play a doubleheader beginning at noon on Friday and then cancel Saturday’s game. Sunday’s 1 p.m. game is still on as scheduled. All three games will be streamed on ESPN+.
The Buckeyes have opened the year at 4-7 and are coming off 12-7 victory over Army last Sunday. OSU homered twice and scored seven times in the bottom of the eighth to secure the comeback victory. Leadoff man Marcus Ernst is batting a team-high .425 with a pair of triples and 11 runs scored. Drew Reckart and Zach Dezenzo have each homered five times. On the mound, Isaiah Coupet has made three starts and leads the way with 27 strikeouts in 14.1 innings. Freshman Jake Johnson has had quite the start out of the pen, allowing just one run in 8.0 innings with 11 punchouts.
