How it Happened
For the second time in as many games, Paetyn Levis scored the opening goal of the game. She collected a rebounded shot from Clair DeGeorge to put the Buckeyes up one on the Mavericks at 5:43 into the contest. Ohio State took the one-goal lead to the first intermission, despite being outshot by Minnesota State, 12-8, in the opening frame.

This time it was Lauren Bernard carrying the puck through the neutral zone and passing it off to Buglioni, who struck from in front of the Minnesota State goal to give Ohio State the power play goal. The Buckeyes were firing in the second period, tallying 20 shots on goal in the stanza and held Minnesota State to just three.
