COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s lacrosse team returns home to the Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium on Thursday, March 21 to host rival No. 9 Michigan at 7 p.m. The Buckeyes look for their first conference win of the season against the undefeated Wolverines. The game will be broadcast live on the Big Ten Network.

• Ohio State fell in its conference opener to No. 2 Maryland on Saturday March 16 in College Park, Md.
• The Buckeyes couldn’t contain the well-oiled Terrapin machine, dropping the contest 16-1.
• Senior Sara Dickinson scored the lone goal for Ohio State, her 13th of the season. She was assisted by freshman Maura McGregor, who has scored in two straight games.
• Senior Caroline Mackrides stood tough on defense, causing a team-high three turnovers and picking up three ground balls.
• Junior goalie Jill Rizzo made 13 saves.
TEAM LEADERS
• Ohio State currently leads the conference in ground balls, averaging 23.6 per game, and in caused turnovers, with an average of 11.6. Nationally, the team ranks fourth in ground balls per game and 15th in caused turnovers per game.
• Nationally, Jill Rizzo is fourth in overall saves at 106 and third in groundballs per game at 4.0. Rizzo also ranks in the Top-10 in saves per game (11.78) and save percentage (.515).
• Rizzo leads the Big Ten in saves per game, posting an average of 11.78, and is first in the B1G in groundballs.
• Baley Parrott is fourth in the Big Ten in goals per game, posting an average of 2.89.
• Liza Hernandez is second overall in the conference in assists per game at 1.67, and fourth in points per game with 4.33. Hernandez is 17th in the nation in points with her 39.
HISTORY WITH THE WOLVERINES
• Ohio State leads the series history, 4-2.
• Last time the two teams met was a close contest in Ann Arbor on March 17, with the Wolverines topping the Buckeyes, 9-7.
• The series history began on April 2, 2014, when Ohio State defeated Michigan, 18-3. The teams later played again that same season in the ALC Tournament, with Ohio State winning again, 12-8.
• Contests between the Buckeyes and Wolverines have been decided by two goals or fewer in three out of the six meetings.
• The Wolverines are on a two-game win streak in the series, as the Buckeyes look for their first win against Michigan since 2016.
SCOUTING MICHIGAN
• No. 9 Michigan is undefeated with an unblemished 10-0 record this season.
• The Wolverines have taken down five rankes opponents so far this season – No. 25 Dartmouth, No. 14 Colorado, No. 9 Denver, No. 25 Townson and No. 19 Penn State.
• UM won 12-9 against No. 19 PSU for its 10th win of the season on March 16. Sophomore Caitlin Muir led the team with three goals and two assists, and senior Adriana Pendino posted her fifth hat trick of the season.
• The trio of Pendino (31), Muir (30) and junior Lilly Grass (30) are consistent on the offense, leading the Wolverines in points.
• Senior Mira Shane leads the team with eight wins, ranking seventh in the NCAA in save percentage (.523). Senior Alli Kothari also has two wins for the Wolverines.
• Michigan head coach Hannah Nielsen is in her second season at the helm of the Wolverines. She is 17-10 overall in her time in Ann Arbor.
