QUOTE FROM COACH
“Today wasn’t about the X’s and O’s unfortunately,” head coach Brian Maisonneuve said. “They played some good soccer and did some good things, but it was more about the confidence this team needs to get rolling with. We need to unite as a group. I know it’s in that locker room, just as a unit, we need to bring it out. These situations really find out what you’re made of. That culture we are building will show.”
OHIO STATE STRIKES FIRST
The Buckeyes controlled the pace early on and found a first-half goal when Etling buried a shot from 10 yards out into the lower left corner at 16:53. Redshirt junior Jake Scheper slotted a pass through midfield to sophomore Joshua Jackson-Ketchup, who flicked a quick through pass to Etling at the top of the box.
