COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State (6-10-0, 3-7-0) ended the 2025 season at Northwestern (8-6-3, 3-5-2) Friday with a 2-1 loss at Martin Stadium in Evanston, Illinois.

The Buckeyes scored first in the match against the Wildcats when Nick McHenry netted a header from a corner delivered by Dyland Onwona-Agyeman in the 41'. For the redshirt-junior Onwona-Agyeman, it was the first point of his career. McHenry scored his third career goal, all this season.

Northwestern evened the match in the 59' on a rebound goal scored by Andrew Johnson. The goal came after several quality saves by Ohio State's Max Trejo.
The Wildcats took the lead in the 84' on a goal by Aaron O'Reilly.
Ohio State started six that went through senior ceremonies last week. Onwona-Agyeman, Nathan Demian, Thomas Gilej, Luciano Pechota, Donovan Williams and Trejo played their final matches as Buckeyes.
Trejo, who eclipsed 4,000 career minutes played Friday, finished the night with eight saves against the Wildcats.
