Jaclyn Lee Receives 2019 LPGA Tour Card

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Jaclyn Lee, a senior on the Ohio State women’s golf team, earned her 2019 LPGA Tour card after placing sixth at Q-Series, which concluded this past weekend at Pinehurst Resort and Country Club.
One of 11 amateurs in the field, Lee carded six rounds under par in the 144-hole stroke play tournament over the last two weeks at Pinehurst. The strong showing came after Lee tied for 13th at the second stage of qualifying last month at Plantation Golf and Country Club in Venice, Fla.

“I feel relieved because it’s been a long three weeks,” Lee said. “It’s definitely the longest tournament I’ve ever played in but you have to take it one round at a time. You can’t really get ahead of yourself, but it’s hard because so many people are cheering you on back home and at school and wishing you good luck. For me, I had to just try to stay in the present and not get too excited about what’s to come.”

A second team WGCA All-American, first team All-Big Ten pick and medalist of the 2018 Big Ten Championships, Lee’s 71.14 scoring average was 11th nationally last season, breaking Allison Hanna’s previous-best of 72.58 by a Buckeye set in 2003-04. The Calgary, Alberta, native concluded the 2017-18 campaign in a tie for fifth at the NCAA Championships last spring.
