COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s soccer team travels to play Maryland at 7 p.m. Friday at Ludwig Field in College Park, Md.

NOTES ON THE BUCKEYES
- Ohio State (1-11-2, 0-4-1 B1G) returns to action after falling at home against No. 3 Kentucky, 3-0, Tuesday night in Columbus.
- The Buckeyes have played three straight ranked teams in the month of October. Ohio State will conclude the home schedule against No. 2 Indiana next Wednesday at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.
- The Buckeyes have had nine members make their OSU debuts this season. The Buckeyes have a young attacking group of players, including freshman Xavier Green, redshirt freshman Devyn Etling and sophomores Joshua Jackson-Ketchup and Mitch Bergman. Redshirt junior Jake Scheper has also made his OSU debut this fall.
- Six Buckeyes have played in all 14 matches this fall.
- Head coach Brian Maisonneuve claimed his first career win in a 1-0 victory over Hofstra Aug. 26 in Columbus.
- Maisonneuve was associate head coach at Indiana University, guiding the team to the 2012 NCAA national title. He was a member of the Columbus Crew from 1996-2004.
- The Buckeyes are averaging 9.2 shots per game and 0.50 goals per game this season.
- Devyn Etling leads the team with three goals on six points. Jake Scheper has five points on one goal and three assists. Joshua Jackson-Ketchup, Michael Prosuk and Jack Holland have also scored goals for the Buckeyes.
- Parker Siegfried is 1-11-2 with a 1.73 GAA and two shutouts this fall.
SCOUTING THE TERRAPINS
Maryland is 5-5-3 overall and 2-3-0 in Big Ten play. Last time out, the team defeated No. 7 Denver, 1-0, Tuesday night at home. Paul Bin scored the lone goal and leads the team with three goals and two assists. Goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair is 5-5-3 with a 0.79 goals-against average and 49 saves.
THE SERIES
Maryland leads the all-time series, 6-1, vs. the Buckeyes. Last year, Maryland won, 1-0, in Columbus. The Terrapins hold a 4-0 record vs. the Scarlet and Gray in College Park.
