COLUMBUS, Ohio – Two former Buckeye swimmers – Samantha Cheverton and Michelle Williams – are representing Ohio State at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, which began today and are being held in Glasgow, Scotland.
Cheverton finished seventh in the 200 freestyle with a new personal best time of 1:57.70. Her time is faster than the one she swam in the 2012 London Olympics.
Additionally, Williams put up the fastest split in prelims on Canada’s 4×100 freestyle relay with a 54.90. The relay is seeded third heading into Thursday night’s finals.
