What does becoming a Buckeye mean to you?
I know it’s cliché, but becoming a Buckeye means everything. Not only does it mean endless opportunities both athletically and academically, but wearing scarlet and gray is the chance to be a part of something much bigger than yourself.
Describe some of the factors that went in to you choosing to come to Ohio State
Choosing Ohio State was an easy decision. When you’re born and raised a Buckeye, it’s in your blood. The players and coaching staff, and the global outreach that this institution has academically simply make me that much more thankful that I get the opportunity to be here.
What Ohio State traditions are you most looking forward to participating in?
Singing Carmen Ohio after games, it still gives me chills.
What is the first thing fans will notice about your style of play when they come see a game at Buckeye Field?
I stick with routines and I have plenty of them- most are superstitious.
Talk about the impact of Buckeyes’ coaching staff, and head coach Kelly Kovach Schoenly in particular, had on you during the recruiting process.
I love the coaching staff. Coach Kelly makes the program feel like a home and it’s something you can’t help but want to be a part of.
What are some goals that you would like to achieve during your time at Ohio State, both athletically and academically?
Athletically, I always have a goal to make myself a better student of the game. Whether it be on the field or off, making a run at a title/championship, or simply by doing my part to help excel the program, there’s always a new experience to be exposed to and new information to be learned. Academically, in the long term I aim to get into graduate school for dentistry.
What are your interests and/or hobbies outside of softball?
I love traveling and spending time with friends and my great big family.
