COLUMBUS, Ohio – Several members of the Ohio State men’s track and field team competed at the SPIRE NCAA Division I Invitational Friday and Saturday in Geneva, Ohio.
Highlights from the two-day meet:
400m – Unseeded
Junior Taylor Weary placed fourth overall in a time of 49.10. Cam Viney of Illinois was the first-place finisher in 48.65.
Pole Vault
Clearing the bar at 5.05m (16-6.75), senior Heath Nickles finished in fourth place. Jason Wurster of Toronto placed first at a facility-record height of 5.30m (17-4.50).
Shot Put
A personal-best throw of 18.05m (59-2.75) helped sophomore J.C. Murasky to fifth place. Cornell’s Stephen Mozia captured first place at 18.76m (61-6.75).
