Practices Open, Interviews Available Thursday at Buckeye Field – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The four teams competing in the Ohio State regional of the 2007 NCAA Softball Championship will hold open practices for the public Thursday at Buckeye Field and will be available for interviews following each practice. The practice schedule is listed below and interviews will take place in the interview tent located just west of Buckeye Field in the southeast corner of Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.
Please note Virginia Tech has asked that media seeking comment on the April 16 shooting on the Blacksburg campus may do so, but only after the Hokies’ 11 a.m. practice Thursday and not at any other time during the weekend.
Practice Times for Thursday, May 17:
– 11 a.m.-noon … Virginia Tech (regional No. 1 seed, national No. 16 seed, 48-14 overall)
– 1:45-2:45 p.m. … Cal State Fullerton (regional No. 3 seed, 34-20 overall)
– 3-4 p.m. … Ohio State (regional No. 2 seed, 38-16 overall)
– 5:15-6:15 p.m. … Canisius (regional No. 4 seed, 27-19 overall)

Friday:
Game 1: Virginia Tech vs. Canisius – 5 p.m.
Game 2: Ohio State vs. Cal State Fullerton – 7:30 p.m.
Saturday:
Game 3: Game 1 winner vs. Game 2 winner – 1 p.m.
Game 4: Game 1 loser vs. Game 2 loser – 3:30 p.m.
Game 5: Game 4 winner vs. Game 3 loser – 6 p.m.
Sunday:
Game 6: Game 3 winner vs. Game 5 winner – 1 p.m.
Game 7, if needed: Game 6 winner vs. Game 6 loser – 3:30 p.m.
