Doubleheader with Miami Rained Out Wednesday – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State softball team’s doubleheader with Miami Wednesday has been cancelled because of rain and will not be rescheduled. The Miami doubleheader was to have kicked off an eight-game homestand for the Buckeyes, who are 27-15 overall and tied for first in the Big Ten at 8-2.
Ohio State remains home this weekend for Big Ten games against Purdue and Indiana. The Buckeyes and Boilermakers (28-29-1, 6-7 Big Ten) will meet at 6 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday, while the Hoosiers (20-27, 1-13 Big Ten) will visit Buckeye Field for a noon doubleheader Sunday.
Ohio State has now had eight games cancelled this spring because of weather. The regular season comes to an end next week as the Buckeyes host Wright State Tuesday, travel to Akron Wednesday and host Penn State Saturday and Sunday. The Big Ten tournament will be hosted by the regular season champion May 10-12.
