COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State softball team’s doubleheader with Wright State, originally scheduled for Wednesday, has been postponed until May 1, when the Buckeyes and Raiders will meet at 3 p.m. for twin bill at Buckeye Field.
Ohio State (21-13, 4-0 Big Ten) has seen its last eight games cancelled because of weather. The Buckeyes have not played since April 1 when they swept Wisconsin and will put their unblemished league record on the line this weekend at defending Big Ten champ and national runner-up No. 7 Northwestern (31-7, 6-1 Big Ten).
The Buckeyes and Wildcats will meet at Sharon S. Drysdale Field in Evanston, Ill., for single games at 4 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday.
With the postponement of the Wright State doubleheader until May 1, the Buckeyes will have a busy end to the regular season. Ohio State will host Purdue April 27 and 28, then Indiana April 29 before having an off day prior to the Raiders’ visit. The Buckeyes then travel to Akron May 2 before hosting Penn State May 5 and 6 as the regular season comes to a close.
