– Buckeyes at the plate: Junior Brittany Vanderink’s RBI single in the sixth inning extended her team-best hitting streak to nine games.
– Senior Lauren Daykin’s current four-game hitting streak is tied for her career best. Up until her game-tying double, Daykin had been 0-for-5 in her career against Minnesota.
– Junior Liz Caputo, who delivered the game-winning RBI Friday, is now 7-for-9 in her career against the Gophers.
– Senior Megan Schwab hit her team-leading eighth double of the season Friday, giving her 44 for her career, which are one shy of second all-time at Ohio State (45 by Stacy Roth, 1999-02).
– Buckeyes in the circle: In five career appearances against Minnesota, senior Jamee Juarez is 4-0 with a save. Kim Reeder improves to 2-0 lifetime against the Gophers.

– Minnesota leads the all-time series with Ohio State, 55-28, but the Buckeyes have won six in a row over the Gophers. At Buckeye Field, Ohio State is now 20-12 all-time against Minnesota since the facility opened in 1988.
