Postgame Notes
– Linda Kalafatis improves to 250-179-2 in her eighth season at Ohio State and 523-294-2 overall in 16 seasons as a collegiate head coach. She became Ohio State’s all-time wins leader last season.
– With 24 career shutouts, Kristi DeVries continues to close in on the Ohio State record of 26 shutouts set by Katie Chain from 2000-03. The one-hit performance is DeVries’ third of the season to go along with a perfect game vs. Wright State March 6.
– Nycole Koyano’s 13 stolen bases this season breaks the former record for stolen bases by a freshman set by Candace Kollen in 1995.
– With two RBI in the game, Stacy Hibma notched her first career multi-RBI game.
– Ohio State improves to 8-2 at Buckeye Field this season.
– Ohio State leads the all-time series vs. Dayton, 10-1. The Buckeyes defeated the Flyers earlier this season in Dayton, 9-1, March 6.
