Postgame Notes
– With nine strikeouts in the game, Kristi DeVries increased her season-total to 74 strikeouts to take over the team lead. Freshman Jamee Juarez, who will start game two of the double-header, has 72 strikeouts.
– Local cable television affiliate Comcast Channel 14 televised the game, marking Ohio State’s first TV appearance of the season.
– Fresno State leads the all-time series vs. Ohio State, 4-2. The Buckeyes and Bulldogs last met Feb. 15, 1997 at the Arizona State Coke Classic, with FSU taking a 7-4 win.
