Softball Fall Competition Begins Oct. 5-6 – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State softball team begins its 2002-03 season with newcomers reporting today. Additional returnees will report Friday, Sept. 20, and the entire squad will be practicing together Monday, Sept. 23.
The team’s fall portion of its schedule commences with the Ohio Charity Classic held at Fred Beekman Park in Columbus, Ohio, Oct. 5-6. Bowling Green, Cleveland State, Dayton, Kent State, Ohio University, Ohio State, Toledo, Wright State and Youngstown State will compete in the second annual tournament benefiting the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research at the Arthur G. The Buckeyes also will take on Ball State in a doubleheader at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, in Muncie, Ind.
There is a possibility that other games will be scheduled and information will be released immediately if that is the case.
