Softball Falls 2-0 Against The Lady Razorbacks – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Buckeyes fell, 2-0, against the Arkansas Lady Razorbacks today in the Golden Panther Invitational in Miami, Fla. Arkansas’ Jennifer Bottoms pitched her first career no-hitter to notch the win and improve to 14-10 for the season. The Buckeyes drop to 6-6 for the season and 1-2 at the tournament.%^$
%^$Arkansas captured the winning run in the top of the fifth when Erin Stokey blasted a double to send Tiffany Woolley home.%^$
%^$The Buckeyes remained hitless in all seven innings. Sophomore pitcher Kristi Martin fell to 2-4 for the season, but struck out seven (a total of 17 batters for the tournament) and held Arkansas to only four hits.%^$
%^$Ohio State, fighting for the No. 3 seed in the tournament bracket, will next take on Florida A&M at 1 p.m. today. The Buckeyes must win the game in order to compete in the tournament championship bracket tomorrow.
