Softball Scarlet Buckeyes Defeat Gray – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio—The Ohio State softball Scarlet Buckeyes defeated the Gray, 5-2 Oct. 9 at Buckeye Field in Columbus, Ohio. The game was part of softball’s version of the Scarlet and Gray World Series.
The Gray Buckeyes scored first, posting two runs in the bottom of the first inning. The game remained 2-0 until the top of the fifth when the Scarlet team exploded for four runs. Scarlet went on to add another run in the top of the seventh to solidify the win.
The final scheduled game of the Scarlet and Gray World Series will be played Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
