Lexington, Ky. – After a three hour bus trip, including a small traffic jam in Cincinnati, the Ohio State softball team arrived at the University of Kentucky for the Kentucky Invitational at 5:15 p.m. EST.
%^$”After the long flight to Hawaii and the long bus ride to Atlanta last week, this trip was a breeze,” junior co-captain Renae Weigel said.
%^$The team will keep things simple tonight. The plan is to go to dinner and hopefully watch (on television) the Ohio State men’s basketball team play the Michigan Wolverines in the Big Ten Tournament.
%^$An early good sign has been the weather. Mother Nature seems to be cooperating with the Buckeyes. The forecast is calling for mostly cloudy skies with a high temperature around 50 degrees.
%^$”Even though we won the tournament championship last weekend, we as a group know we can still play a lot better,” senior captain Cheryl Palaroan said. “We had a good week of practice and we are ready to play.”
