Softball Loses Two at Paradise Classic – Ohio State Buckeyes

Honolulu, Hawaii – Day two of the Paradise Classic saw the Ohio State softball team (0-3 overall) lose games to Oregon State and Hawaii, 5-1 and 3-0 respectively.
In the morning contest, the Oregon State Beavers knocked in four runs in the final two innings to take the 5-1 victory. OSU starting pitcher Toni Hileman (Jr., Alliance, Ohio), was charged with her first loss of the season. She pitched the entire contest and gave up two earned runs.
The late game featured the host school, No. 17-ranked Hawaii. OSU starting pitcher Meaghan Robinson (Sr., Naples, Fla.) came through with a solid performance in the 3-0 loss. She gave up three runs but only one was earned.
Freshman Anna Smith (Fr., Walnut, Calif.) notched her first career hit and run batted in against Oregon State. She followed that up with a single against Hawaii in the sixth inning.
The Buckeyes will finish the round-robin portion of the tournament with a pair of games tomorrow. OSU will face Baylor at 10 a.m. and Loyola Marymount at noon.
