Softball Wins Two at Purdue – Ohio State Buckeyes

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Ohio State (33-21 overall, 9-12 Big Ten) defeated Purdue (28-28, 7-14) 3-0 and 5-2 in a Tuesday afternoon doubleheader. Jodi Dolan pitched a shutout in game one giving up five hits and a walk. Cheryl Palaroan scored two runs and had three stolen bases as the Buckeyes scored single runs in the first three innings to seal the win.
%^$In game two Dolan, the designated hitter, went two for three with a double and a home run, collecting three runs batted in. Her two run blast in the fifth inning broke a two-all tie to put the Buckeyes ahead for good. Toni Hileman went the distance for Ohio State giving up two runs on nine hits with two strikeouts.
%^$Ohio State will travel to Firestone Stadium to face Kent State Thursday in a 7 p.m. doubleheader. The Buckeyes will then travel to Northwestern for a 1 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday and a 1 p.m. contest on Sunday to end the regular season.%^$
