Buckeyes Wrap Up Competition at Meyo Invite, Jud Logan Light Giver Open

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track and field team wrapped competition at the Notre Dame Meyo Invite on Saturday while the pole vaulters competed at the Jud Logan Light Giver Open in Ashland, Ohio.
Leo Uusimaki earned his second win of the season and first in the men’s long jump (7.22m), with the runner up failing to jump seven meters. Oscar Smith won his first race of the season with a season-best 7.90 in the 60m hurdles. Luke Bendick made his season debut with a win in the men’s pole vault (5.08m).
- Robbie Oswald finished in second in the pole vault at the Jud Logan Light Giver Open, clearing 5.03m after putting up 5.41m in the seeding rounds – the best height of the season for the Buckeye men. Daniel Drellishak cleared 4.88m to tie his season-best in the seeding rounds.
- The Ohio State men had three finish in the top-10 as Nick Miller was the runner-up (4:07.51), Sean Carney finished fifth (4:08.30) and Nick Regas was seventh (4:08.81). These are the three fastest men’s mile times of the season for the Buckeyes.
- Kainnen Ramsey qualified for the finals in the men’s 60m with a semifinal time of 6.86 – third overall. He finished second in the finals (6.84). Ramsey won his heat in both the semifinals and finals.
- Kashawn Baptiste and Tyrese Fajardo finished fourth (48.05) and eighth (48.44), respectively, in the men’s 400m.
- The Buckeye men’s 4x400m relay finished fifth (3:15.15) with Tyrese Fajardo, Kashawn Baptiste, Cameron Cooper and David Palmer teaming up.
- Cierra Pyles was the lone OSU woman to qualify for the 60m hurdles finals, where she finished sixth (8.71). Pyles also finished seventh in the women’s triple jump (11.78m).
- The Ohio State women had two in the top-10 in the pole vault at the Jud Logan Light Giver Open. Abigail Kuhn finished fifth (3.85m), while AnneMarie Moses rounded out the top-10 (3.70m).
- Aziza Ayoub finished seventh in the women’s 800m with a time of 2:08.91. On the men’s side, Nick Miller was eighth with a Buckeyes’ season-best time of 1:49.68.
- In the women’s 3000m, Hannah Moulton earned an eighth-place finish (9:43.46).
- Akemi Von Scherr turned in her season-best time (4:58.05) in the mile to finished eighth overall.
- In the final 3000 on the women’s side, Addie Engel finished ninth (9:20.18), beating the Buckeye women’s previous season-best time by more than 20 seconds.
- In the Ryan Shay 3000 on the men’s side, Michael Zedan rounded out the top-10 with a time of 8:14.26, a personal season-best.
