• Named the Ohio State Pistol head coach in September 2017 and immediately delivered a national team title at the 2018 Intercollegiate Pistol Championships, the fifth Open competition team crown in program history
• In his eight seasons at Ohio State, has won five national championships: 2018, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024
• Five of his athletes have competed in the last two Summer Olympic Games (Henry Leverett - twice - Katelyn Abeln, Jackson Leverett and Ada Korkhin)
• Guided the Buckeyes to an undefeated Open competition 2017-18 slate (25-0)
• Put together another flawless head-to-head mark (18-0) in 2019-20 prior to the cancelation of the 2020 Intercollegiate Pistol Championships
• Lifted Ohio State to a second-place finish overall at the 2019 Intercollegiate Pistol Championships, taking home the Open Air Pistol team trophy
• Mentored 2018 Standard Pistol national champion Anthony McCollum and 2019 Free Pistol national champion Samuel Gens
• Has competed in six Olympic Games and won the silver medal at the 1996 Games in Atlanta
• Represented Bulgaria in the 1992, ’96, 2000 and ’04 Olympics before becoming a U.S. citizen in 2009 and donning the Stars & Stripes for the 2012 and 2016 Olympics
• Six-time World Championships participant, earning a silver medal in 1994
